Join us April 27st & 28nd for the Vintage Computer Festival Southeast 7.0
(VCFSE 7.0), hosted by the Computer Museum of America and presented by the Atlanta Historical Computing Society.
This international event celebrates the history of computing, featuring hands on exhibits, interactive activities, speakers and more! The Computer Museum of America will be open during the festival in preparation of the grand opening scheduled July 20, 2019
This community event is open to the public – computer lovers, hobbyists, IT professionals, makers, future inventors, families and children interested in STEM/STEAM, and curious onlookers! A live auction will offer bidders a chance to start or expand their personal computer collections.
Event Highlights
- Free admission.
- Children ages 17 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. College students are admitted free with student ID.
- Hands-on electronic projects, soldering, and fun Do-It-Yourself game kits for children and adults.
- Collectibles and restored machines on display in vendor’s booths.
- Special demonstrations and exhibitors including the Duct-Ties and Zip-Tapes a FIRST Robotics Tech Challenge team, Kids 4 Coding a program inspiring youth through hands-on projects and challenges designed to propel kids to tech readiness, and the Southeastern Mechanical Keyboard Enthusiasts group.
Future Exhibits Preview
For two days only, be the first to preview the Computer Museum of America’s first exhibit during the development process, featuring iconic artifacts including a Cray 1A, Cray 1M, and a Connection Machine. During the festival, visitors will be able to view artifacts and construction in progress through viewing panels. Due to construction, attendees will not be able to tour the new exhibit. Be among the first to see architectural plans, a 3D model and exhibit design drawings of the museum.
