Event FAQs

Almost any kind of event can be held in our flexible spaces. With basic to elaborate decor, the event rooms can be transformed into spaces that align with any theme and budget, or the standard setup may be used.

On-hand banquet tables, highboys, and chairs are included. Free parking, free basic Wifi (compliant with use guidelines), and access to miscellaneous items in inventory such as rolling carts for load in and load out.

TVs, a projector, limited audio, tech-themed centerpieces, and other items are available for a nominal fee.

Not included are table linens, additional pipe & drape, most A/V, furniture, or other equipment rental for needs that exceed the on-hand supply, stage, and lighting, insurance and security, and other items depending on the individual event needs.

CMoA has a network of vendors that have worked in our space that we can refer you to for making arrangements for rental items and services. We currently do not have exclusive providers, so you may use your favorite vendors, provided they are licensed and insured.

CMoA offers the flexibility for event hosts to choose their preferred caterer, provided they are licensed and insured. Additionally, the museum has established preferred catering partners. Roswell and the surrounding area also have great restaurants that can provide catering from boxed lunches or reception options to a multi-course dinner.

The museum has a catering prep space for caterers equipped with tables, sinks, refrigerators, and an electric hot box. This space is included with the Gravity Ballroom rental.

Beginning January 2024, CMoA offers two alcohol packages and by-the-glass options for event hosts. In line with this addition, and to comply with state and local laws, all events hosted at CMoA will be required to exclusively use the museum’s designated alcohol beverage and bartender services.

A one-hour museum visit can be added to most event space rentals when scheduled for the beginning of the event. Rates and minimums vary based on the number of people and if it is during regular open hours. Beverages are permitted in the museum for adults during events with a museum visit.

CMoA provides ample free parking, which is conveniently located right in front of the main entrance, offering room for multiple buses, vans, and larger groups arriving in numerous vehicles. This accessibility ensures that visitors, whether arriving individually or in large parties, can easily find parking near the museum’s covered main entrance or in the adjacent overflow lots.

Power is accessible in all event spaces for basic needs. Items that draw larger amounts of electricity such as heat lamps, cooking appliances, or other heavy demands may require an additional charge for sufficient power.

A refundable Damage/Excessive Cleanup/Late Departure Deposit is included with most invoices. Damage to the facility or excessive cleanup for food and decor debris will be deducted from this deposit. Departure after the contracted end time, for both guests and vendors, will result in charges applied to this deposit.

As a private event facility, the possession of guns and other weapons is strictly prohibited. Examples of additional prohibited items include pyrotechnics such as fireworks, flares, any explosive or incendiary devices, glitter, confetti, hazardous or toxic materials, and pets of any kind, with the exception of service animals. Violations of CMoA Wifi Use Policy are not permitted.

Outside alcohol, food prepared by unlicensed providers, including homemade items, unprotected flame candles, and some other unspecified items, are not permitted.

Most larger events require an off-duty City of Roswell police officer, and an additional security guard may be required for events with a large number of minors. Requirements and instructions for arranging security will be discussed during booking.
