If you are reading this, it’s because you’re on the internet.  55 years ago on this day, the first permanent link on the ARPANet is established between UCLA and the Stanford Research Institute. The link was part of the Internet’s oldest ancestor, ARPANET, an early computer network developed by DARPA to connect military and government organizations.

So, Happy 55 Internet!
